Where can I get a piece of software that aids in the setup of a business license/permit?

Hello,

I appreciate the moment you are taking out of your life to look over my question. I am interested in some form of business permit/license. It seems from my investigation so far that I need no local or county permits for what I am trying to do. Essentially all I seem to need is the taxing information for the type of business entity I select.

I am trying to decide between a few different options but the information I have found for the types of entities is fairly scarce. I am considering becoming a sole proprietary , forming an incorporated sole proprietary, a limited liability company (LLC), or a corporation S.

Essentially it is just myself, I live in the state of Wisconsin and I am trying to decide if I can find a reasonable way of setting this all up myself if I would gain from the experience of doing this myself while saving myself a fair amount of money or if I would regret. I feel I may regret it because for some obscure reason that I have yet to learn an LLC would be better than a corporation S or who knows. I am leaning towards LLC or sole proprietary incorporated. I desire to always have full control and ownership of what goes on in the company, I don’t want the liability that goes along with a sole proprietary, and I want it to be simple enough that I can do it and understand what is going on amongst the various laws and forms.

Do you know of a piece of software that has the answers to my questions, while answering my questions enables me to setup my business tax account along with anything else I may need? Do you recommend I go to a company that exists online or some place locally that can aid/complete this process for me? Do you have a suggestion for which type of business entity I should go with? Do you have something I can study to give me a deeper understanding of each business entity than I may already have?

My business is going to have nothing to do with food, tobacco or firearms. Basically we will produce things, buy things in large quantities, and then sell them online along with other personal services.

The best source of information I have found thus far is http://www.entrepreneur.com/homebasedbiz/homebasedbasics/legalissues/article38822.html

Thank you for your time reading this and I greatly appreciate any kind, well written responses to my question.

Hi, I think your best bet is to go to your states governmental site, which I have included in my source, and click on the business tab. They should have alot of information there to help guide you through. Many states have different rules, regulations and laws, so I believe this is your best bet.
Hope it helps!
